Green Island and Tabuhan Island in southern Banyuwangi offer diving and snorkeling experiences with clear water quality, diverse coral reefs, and clusters of small islands resembling the Pianemo panorama in Raja Ampat.
Green Island is located in Pancer Hamlet, Sumberagung Village, Pesanggaran District, about 62 km from the center of Banyuwangi City. This uninhabited island is surrounded by turquoise to deep blue waters with stunning gradients. Dense green vegetation blankets the island, creating a dramatic contrast with the clear seawater.
The main attraction of Green Island is the amazing snorkeling and diving spots. The coral reefs are still natural and inhabited by various types of colorful tropical fish. To reach this location, travelers must take a trip to Pancer Beach, then rent a tourist boat for 15-20 minutes. Although it is still considered a new destination with limited facilities, the experience offered is very authentic—snorkeling in shallow waters, light trekking to the summit of the island, and camping under the shade of trees.
